Morning Nature Walk — Bannerghatta Forest Fringe
A slow, mindful walk through the forest edge at Bannerghatta — focusing on trees, insects, fungi, and the sounds of the wild.
About the Walk
This is not a hike. It is a slow walk — the kind where you stop every few minutes to look at a spider web, smell a leaf, or listen to a woodpecker. Our naturalist guide will lead a small group of twelve through the transitional forest zone at the edge of Bannerghatta National Park.
The focus is observation, not distance. We will cover roughly 4 kilometres over three hours.
What We Will Look For
- Trees — identifying native species by bark, leaf shape, and smell
- Insects — beetles, butterflies, and the occasional stick insect
- Fungi — shelf fungi, termite mounds, and decomposers
- Tracks and signs — pugmarks, feeding evidence, feathers
- Sounds — bird calls and their meanings
